Pack 66 has been serving the students of Eanes Elementary School continuously for over 20 years. In 1995, there were 66 Cub Scouts and their families in the founding Pack, which is why we are Pack 66. The mission of Pack 66 is to provide a quality Cub Scout program that involves a variety of family activities, develops character, teaches citizenship, promotes lifelong values and provides many opportunities for fun and adventure.  The Pack is part of the Bee Cave District, which includes the Eanes ISD and Lake Travis ISD areas of the Capitol Area Council (a 15-county area surrounding Austin, Texas) of Scouts BSA.  The Pack’s chartered organization is the Eanes Elementary School PTO.

We maintain a year-round activity program.  The Pack meets at Eanes Elementary School, usually on the third Thursday of each month during the school year. Pack meetings include flag ceremonies, award recognitions, skill development, service projects and special activities like Pinewood Derby, Rocket Launch and Raingutter Regatta. We really like to experience the great outdoors and go family camping as a Pack twice a year in various state parks, Scout camps and private properties.  We have one Cub-Partner overnight adventure each year with recent visits to USS Lexington, Thinkery Children’s Museum and Waco Zoo. During the summer, our Pack is active in leading community 4th of July Parades, service projects and a back-to-school pool party.

We welcome any students at any time during the year. A student must be at least 5 years old. A new Cub Scout will be placed in a Den based on grade level.  The Pack is currently composed of Lion Den (Kindergarten), Tiger Den (1st grade), Wolf Den (2nd grade), Bear Den (3rd grade) and Webelos Dens (4th and 5th grades).  Each Den ranges in size from 5-10 Cub Scouts and usually meets 1-2 times per month to work on advancement requirements, skills, crafts and games.
